Barbacoa - Beef Cheeks

This is a recipe for beef barbacoa. Sunday mornings, in the Rio Grande Valley, we would line up to get this dish. It is tender and so so good. I highly recommend trying this recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Beef Cheek Meat
  • 2 Cloves Garlic
  • 2 Leaves Bay Leaves
  • 1/2 Onion
  • 1 tbsp Salt

Instructions

  • Place all the ingredients in a Crock Pot for 8 hours on high or low for 12 hours.
    Do not add water

Notes

This recipe is for a quick, not * messy, delicious Barbacoa.
  • Serve with corn or flour tortillas.
  • Add chopped onions with chopped cilantro to the taco.
  • Finally top of with green salsa or red salsa.
