Enchilada Sauce



  • 1 Quart Cold Water
  • 1/2 Cup Chili Powder
  • 1/2 Cup Paprika
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 3 tbsp roux This is a thikening agent made from 2 parts flour and 1 part oil.


  • Combine the water, paprika, chili powder, and salt in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  • Stir in the roux, simmer for a minute and remove from heat.
